Prospectiva’s 335 km² Borborema land package has benefited from more than a decade of systematic exploration by major gold and base-metal companies, providing Prospectiva with a substantial technical database and a strong platform for renewed, discovery-focused exploration.
The project area was explored by Yamana Gold between 2011 and 2022, during which time Yamana completed regional target generation, geological mapping, reconnaissance prospecting, rock-chip sampling, soil geochemistry, stream-sediment sampling, geophysics and drilling across multiple target areas. This work progressively defined the São Francisco copper-gold massive sulphide system as the principal mineralised system alongside multiple gold targets.1
